Please be advised that The Town will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of The Martin Luther King Holiday. All garbage pick-up and normal business operations will resume on Tuesday, January 17th. Thank you for your understanding.
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Today, we remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a man who dedicated his life to fighting for racial equality and justice. Dr. King inspired a nation with his words and his actions, and his work continues to echo through the years.
On this day, we reflect on Dr. King’s legacy and honor his memory by recommitting to his fight for justice and equality for all. We also remember the other unsung heroes of the civil rights movement who made incredible sacrifices to bring about change. Let us all strive to live up to their example and build a better future for everyone, regardless of race or background.
