EMPTY BOWLS FRANKLIN COUNTY FIREHOUSE CHILI COOK-OFF

Community Cares is excited to share the news of Franklin County’s first EMPTY BOWLS FRANKLIN COUNTY FIREHOUSE CHILI COOK-OFF event set for Saturday, March 7th, from 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. at the Louisburg Fire Station. Pre-sold tickets are available, and walk-ins are welcome! Raffles items, entertainment by DJ Mark Speed, and the Interactive Smoke Trailer will be available for kids to learn all about fire safety!
Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement used around the world to raise money for food-related charities to feed the hungry in their communities. Designated ticket holders will receive a hand-thrown ceramic bowl made by local artist Michele Ragaglia, in addition to a serving of chili from a variety of the participating fire stations. This bowl serves to be a symbol of the “Empty Bowls” of the food-insecure Franklin County School students that Community Cares provides supplemental food for, with hopes that it will create conversation and actions that will lead to more assistance for them. For pre-sold tickets, call or text 540-220-2962. Donations are welcome through the provided QR code.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
