Duke Energy’s scheduled temporary power outage is to start around 11:59 p.m. tonight, until 4 a.m. tomorrow morning. Service will be interrupted for all Town of Louisburg electric customers for up to four hours. Some Duke Energy customers may also experience a power outage during this time. You should have been notified by Duke Energy if this power outage will affect you. We anticipate that power will be restored by 4 a.m.

Main Street will also be closed off from Justice Street to Noble Street at 11:30pm for Town Maintenance purposes during the power outage. Police Officers will be stationed at intersections and throughout town to ensure safety. The Town of Louisburg’s after-hours number will not be available during the planned outage.
