The North Carolina Museums of History, Natural Science, and Art combined with the performing art opportunities offered by the North Carolina Symphony and the numerous other performance venues provide for elegant evenings of music and theatre.

Centrally located on the eastern seaboard, access to both New York and New England as well as Miami and Key West is made easy for east coast travelers. Just 4 hours from our nation’s capitol, Washington, DC, the greatest museums and historical foundations of our country are easily accessed for both business and pleasure.

Location

Located in the east central portion of North Carolina, Louisburg is 2.5 hours from the beautiful Crystal Coast beaches of NC and the 3.5 hours from the breathtaking vistas of the NC Mountains, including the famed “Appalachian Trail” Whether sunbathing, surfing, snow skiing down one of the many slopes available, or hiking the trails of “Grandfather Mountain”, it is all available via a short drive.

Education

There are 37 colleges & educational institutions within a 2.5 hour drive from Louisburg. Many of the institutions are known for their world renowned research facilities and cutting edge technological developments on top of recognition as outstanding institutions of higher education. An ancillary benefit to a number of these campuses is the enjoyment of many of the most recognized and successful collegiate athletic programs in the country. Home to many National Championship basketball, lacrosse, track and field, and other athletic teams, these institutions provide a great entertainment resource as well.

Louisburg Commerce Park

The Louisburg Commerce Park is a recently created hub for Industrial Development in Louisburg. There are currently 120 acres available for development with many design and subdivision options available to prospective developers.

The Louisburg Industrial Park is served by all public utilities offered by the Town, as well as, Natural Gas from PSNC. The Park is located less than .25 miles from both the Louisburg Bike Trail and Joyner Park and has direct access to US 401, NC 39, and NC 56.

Projects

The Town of Louisburg has been making impressive strides towards renovation and revitalization, thanks to grants and capital improvement projects. Several public and private sector initiatives have been announced or approved through the planning process.

Financial Incentives

There are a number of financial incentives which may be available to Industrial Developers in the form of grants, low-interest loans, and other assistance. These incentives are made available from the State of North Carolina and Franklin County, NC.

  • Certified Development Corporation 
  • Dislocated Worker Program – Reimburses a percentage of retraining costs.
  • Industrial Revenue Bond Financing – Funds land and equipment purchase, as well as facility construction, maybe obtained through the Franklin County Industrial Facilities & Pollution Control Financing Authority.
  • Community Development Block Grants 
  • Industrial Training
